Preparing for Exercise
All exercise requires a short warm-up period. No strenuous exercise should ever be attempted with warm-up. Warm-up should encompass movement in the limbs, back and neck to prevent injury. Here is a an example of a good warm-up:

Holding onto the back of a chair with one hand for support, swing the outer leg freely until it feels "loose". Repeat with the other leg. To warm up arms, stand with weight evenly balanced and gently swing arms forward and back until all constriction of movement is gone.
